The word "Crochet" comes from the old French Norse language "Hook."
I heard that crochet was used during wars to guide and navigate soldiers. Letting them know which terrains were coming forth. Telling them of oncoming soldiers, and how many would be surrounding. I'm not too sure, but that is great information to know.
Also, what I have found amazing about crochet, is that I am able to apply math to it and that is how each piece gets so interesting and stays unique.
Crochet is extremely versatile, each crochet stitch is completed before the next one begins, which allows the artwork to breath and grow as you grow and breath.
